Navigator II Fine Fescue
Navigator II strong creeping fescue is often the prescription for success in difficult environments that challenge other varieties. Use it in shaded and poorly irrigated areas where fertility and pesticides inputs are either lacking or discouraged.
Navigator II is darker green with improved disease resistance, particularly to dollar spot and red thread. It aggressively spreads to crowd out weeds, and better tolerates traffic and wear. Its leaf texture and color is very compatible with ryegrass and bluegrass in mixtures to improve shade tolerance under minimal fertility.
Navigator II easily establishes, a bonus for slopes and other areas threatened by erosion. With fewer mowings necessary, it also provides both persistent cover and visual appeal to golf course roughs, park-like areas, and residential turf.
